At SA•WAT•SKI Concept Reality (SCR), it is our desire to create environments which generate local pride and transform urban spaces, while simultaneously engaging residents and strengthening their communities. We believe great design is about more than aesthetic, it reflects social- ism’s, historical sequence and evolution of community and lifestyle. Guided by this understanding, we use foresight and innovation to produce engaging intelligent designs as unique as the people and communities which they serve.
SA•WAT•SKI Concept Reality is owned by Ryan Sawatzky and Ashley Martin. They make an accomplished team both with a unique design aesthetic and approach to solving problems. In the past 20 years, Ryan has worked on design projects in various sectors of Family Entertainment, Not for Profit and Municipal Recreation the world over. Ashley has helped many clients brand their business and create engaging environments through environmental design; interior design, visual display, and scenography. SA•WAT•SKI Concept Reality was born out of their shared love of design and a desire to complete projects for the social good.
Team
Ryan Sawatzky
Ryan grew up learning the Commercial Art “trade” under his Father’s company, Adventure Design Ltd., a design/build company specializing in theme environments for the tourist related industry. Together they completed many large scale projects the world over. Now with 25 years of hands-on experience in design and fabrication, he continues his creations under the company SA•WAT•SKI Concept Reality, where he utilizes his finely honed skills in concept design, sculpture, graphic design, and multimedia, to bring projects to life. Ryan’s design range is multi-faceted and he is always looking for new challenges, while constantly evolving his design and fabrication techniques in order to produce top-level projects. Ryan has a passion for community development, creating spaces that engage the public. He is guided by a willingness to learn from the people who are shaped by the environments in which they live.
Ashley Martin
As a Retail/Visual Display Designer and Interiors Designer, Ashley has worked with many clients to help them reach their design goals. Developing and implementing designs and creative solutions unique to each project. She has many years of experience working in the retail and hospitality sectors and understands what it takes to create engaging immersive environments which generate sales and leads. She possesses a fantastic sense of color, texture, and form, drawing on her passion for Design and Architecture with both Modern and Historical influences. This passion for design is influenced by her creative spirit which has lead her on countless journeys having also worked in Film/Television and Print media. Her vast experience has made her a well-rounded designer and creative with an original perspective. As a Project Manager she gets stuff done.
